Corporate Social ResponsibilityTaking The Community Into Account The quality high performance entity that the BE Group is, we are concerned not only with the profit margins, but also what we can give back to the community. We take a very conscious role, in developing for the better, the society that we are all part of. We aim to make profound changes in the society with our multidisciplinary approach to corporate citizenship. Giving Back To All Stake Holders As responsible corporate citizens, we have put in a great deal of effort into ensuring the enhancement of the life of our community members. The same zeal with which we overlook the wellbeing of our employees with regard to their health, security and prospects at work, is also applied to our work with the community. Wiping Out the Malaise of Illiteracy Our major campaign includes the eradication of illiteracy in India and we are making a huge impact in our environment with our enlightened philanthropy. Moreover, a very active contribution from our employees, with their bighearted contribution to the cause, also helps goes a long way in achieving our goals. Their active volunteer work has certainly gone a long way in ensuring the success our efforts. Tracking Changes Among The People Our focus on the community as such has brought about wide reaching transformations. There has been a rethinking of the obvious merits of education and the world of opportunities it throws open and the cascading changes that are brought about. The informed citizenry can then take truly educated decisions about their own future as well as that of the entire society. The community as a whole has now started taking a more proactive approach to the malaise of illiteracy after our consistent efforts. Literacy For Every One As part of the Non Government Organization LIFE (Literacy For Every One), The BE Group helped school drop outs by teaching them vocational skills, and encouraging more and more children to not only enroll in schools but also works at their continued retention. The work also extends for special children who are physically / mentally challenged. Retaining qualified teaching staff in the rural schools has been a problem due to low salaries, poor benefits a lack of proper teaching facilities. Keeping these shortcomings in mind, LIFE has plans of introducing innovative and cost-effective ICT tools and methodologies for improving the quality of teaching and aiding in the learning of basic vocational education. LIFE operates in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Bihar, UP and Karnataka. |
